Charlotte Chiew is a London-based TV, film, theatre, and voiceover artist originally from Singapore. She trained in acting at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris which she blames for her slightly fanatical love for improvisation/devising, ensemble acting, mask play, and character work. Her training includes influences from Anne Bogart (Viewpoints), Marcel Marceau, Etienne Decroux, Augusto Boal, and Laban.
During the Covid lockdowns, Charlotte fell in love with voiceovers; she’s gaining a reputation as the ABC Voiceover Girl - A for Americanized, B for British-educated, and C for Chinese-descended. Charlotte’s passion for performing began in a little children’s theatre company so she feels really blessed to have gone full circle back to performing in a tiny (sound insulated) box for young audiences in audiobook narrating. And this time, she gets to play ALL the characters!
